Morgan

I originally come from the Hauraki Plains, but have been fortunate enough to live in the beautiful Tauranga for the past 2 years! I am a Registered Occupational Therapist, however work at the clinic as a Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP). My passion is supporting people through periods of adversity in their lives, particularly in regards to their mental health.  However in my personal life, most of my time is dedicated to our 2 young children, baking, reading and connecting with nature!

What is a HIP?

A HIP is a registered health professional who is able to work with people of all ages and their whānau (family). Our goal is to support you to work towards a rich, full and meaningful life, whatever that may look like! We will work alongside you until you are making progress towards your goals and feel confident to continue on your own! Some people only need one session, others may need more – but either way there is no limit on how many times you can see us! Appointments are 30 minutes long and the best part is they are completely FREE of charge!

We support people when stress or other concerns begin to have an impact on your life. This may include:

·      Sleep difficulties

·      Low mood

·      Anxiety & Stress

·      Grief

·      Chronic pain

·      Drug and alcohol use

·      Coping with illness or long term conditions

·      Family or relationship issues

·      Parenting

·      Gender or identity

·      Lifestyle changes

·      And more!

Anyone of any age enrolled with Papamoa Pines Medical can see the HIP, either by calling our receptionist team to book in an appointment, or a referral via a nurse or GP.
