We would like you to wear a mask
As a Medical Practice the decision of mask wearing in the building is in place to provide protection to everyone. We encourage all patients to wear a mask whilst in the Practice - this is to reduce the potential for exposure to any illnesses, respiratory or other air-transmissible illnesses.
Patients will continue to be screened for respiratory symptoms. Only asymptomatic patients are allowed in the Practice. We still encourage mask wearing even if you do not have symptoms in order to protect yourself from potential infection.
The introduction of COVID has made us aware of the benefits of hygiene and infection control. We fully encourage hand washing, distancing and masks. Masks have shown proven benefit in reducing transmission of Respiratory Illness.
This practice respects that some people are not able to routinely wear a mask and they have an exemption for this. However, both our practice staff and other patients are in a particularly vulnerable situation with unmasked patients entering the building.
For those who have an exemption, it would be appreciated if you would consider wearing a mask for the short duration that you are here. We request that you display your exemption, or produce it upon request by the reception team member. Any team members who have a mask exemption will wear their certificate at all times. Any time spent in the business should have your exemption on display, and wherever possible a 2-metre distancing should be maintained from all other people
If your preference is to not wear a mask, we respectfully ask and require you to wait in your car, and call reception upon your arrival. The Doctor will then bring you into the practice once they are ready for your appointment.
